i really have no plans of checking in at pearl manila hotel or on any hotel for that matter. but during that time, i was so exhausted on my work that i need some time off but is too lazy to go to a far place to relax. so i decided to check in to the closest decent hotel from our house. and that's when i thought of pearl manila hotel.
i had my reservations directly to their site (http://www.pearl-manila.com) and i didn't encounter any problems on my reservations! i had my instant confirmation with no additional charge or whatsoever...
anyway, people on the reception were very friendly and helpful.they gave me a room with a nice view and have been very accommodating and very attentive to my needs.
our room is big enough for two persons. the bed is big.. we have our table, television, refrigerator, and clean towels. the bathroom was great! very clean and complete with soaps, shampoos, cotton buds, etc. i just had an issue with the vault because there's no instructions as to how we can set the password. since we will only be staying for one day, we didn't bother to call anyone from the hotel to fix it. i just wish they notice it before a guest checks in on that particular room.
i love their pool! its not too deep nor too shallow. the location was perfect! i enjoyed my time swimming in their pool.
for dinner, we had room service and we orders pansit malabon and a club house sandwich. Servings are good for 2 persons already. A bit pricey and there's nothing special about the food. in fact, i find their pansit malabon weird. its tasteless and lacks in seasoning. although i have to say that their clubhouse sandwich is yummy!
i also enjoyed the breakfast. it's in buffet style and is already included on the room fee. they have many foods on the breakfast buffet table. typical morning foods though, but still, you will find yourself full after eating there. they also have a station where in you can ask their chef to cook an egg or a toast just the way you like it. so if you prefer your eggs scrambled or sunny side up, or if you want a french toast, then all you have to do is go to that station and asked them to cook it for you. they will serve it to you fresh and is still hot! yummy!
VERDICT: 4 out of 5 stars
